In addition to the products already presented here, we can also manufacture a wide range of customer-specific polyolefin tubing.
This includes, for example, perforated heat-shrink tubing for easier handling, marking tubing on carriers for custom printing, special colors according to RAL, as well as silver, gold, or neon colors (services).
Buy polyolefin heat shrink tubing - for electrical insulation
Shrink tubing is used to electrically insulate objects and protect them from mechanical damage. The object to be insulated is inserted into the heat-shrink tubing, which contracts strongly under the effect of heat and adapts precisely to the shape of the object to be insulated. Heat-shrink tubing is suitable for restoring damaged cable insulation, for example, and thus prevents short circuits. Polyolefin, PVDF (Kynar®), PTFE and elastomer heat-shrink tubing are used in almost every conceivable area of application. Double-walled heat-shrink tubing also enables moisture-tight seals.
Shrink tubing - various designs
Do you need high-quality, radiation-crosslinked shrink tubing made from polyolefin with a high dielectric strength? We offer a wide range of different types of heat-shrink tubing that are ideal for electrical insulation, kink protection, strain relief, bundling and color coding. The double-walled versions (with a hot-melt adhesive coating on the inside) are heat-shrink tubing that is often used for moisture-proof seals. Many of the polyolefin shrink sleeves in our range are UL 224 approved (UL listed). You can find more information on the individual products and their technical properties in the respective data sheets.
What is heat shrink tubing?Shrink tubing is based on different primary materials and is expanded using different processes. Under the influence of heat, the shrink tubing can then shrink back to its original size. The main areas of application are the insulation of cables and visual marking through the use of different colors or printing. Translucent shrink tubing is generally used where the object to be shrink-wrapped should still be clearly visible or, for example, an existing marking should be protected from damage.
How to shrink a shrink sleeveA shrink sleeve contracts to its defined final size when heat is applied, e.g. using a heat gun, and the wall thickness increases continuously. Always ensure that the recommended shrink temperature is used so that the tubing is not damaged. Otherwise, the correct temperature/time window must be determined by means of practical tests.
Shrink tubing - what size to buy? When using shrink tubing, the right shrink ratio is crucial to ensure that all objects or transitions to be protected are perfectly covered. The shrink ratios are usually 2:1, 3:1 or 4:1. Special versions are also available.
Buy shrink sleeves and special products - benefit from our wide range
We specialize in the trade of innovative insulating materials for use in the industrial sector and offer our customers from the mechanical engineering and electrical engineering industries a broad product portfolio. In addition to polyolefin heat shrink tubing, our range also includes products made from other materials such as rigid PVC, PVDF, fluoroelastomer (Viton®) and PTFE.
Outstanding chemical resistance is certified for the high-temperature-resistant heat-shrink tubing made from fluoroplastics (e.g. PVDF and PTFE) and dual heat-shrink tubing (PTFE/FEP) for moisture-proof seals. On request, we can also provide you with special products in the form of customer-specific cuts and/or printing, flat-rolled tubing for printing with thermal transfer printers or tubing in special colors, e.g. if the focus is on corporate identity.
